The reason GoodCattery exists.
Our two Bengals were stolen before Christmas. When we tried to replace them, we got scammed. We built GoodCattery so no other family goes through what we did.

Sam and Beans — the two who started it all.
Before Christmas, our two Bengal cats — Sam and Beans — were stolen right out of our yard. They were indoor/outdoor cats, microchipped, and part of our family. A college kid next door took them to his parents' house in Pennsylvania.
The college didn't care. The police did nothing. Just like that, our kids lost their cats and we were left with a hole in our home.
We couldn't afford to replace them. My partner Avy had always wanted a Maine Coon, and I wanted another Bengal, but pedigreed cats aren't cheap. So we started looking at adoption, trying to find something — anything — to fill that void.
That's when we got scammed.
We lost more money to a fake breeder on top of everything else. And we realized: if this happened to us, it's happening to other families too. Families who are already hurting, already desperate, getting taken advantage of by scammers who know exactly how to exploit that.
GoodCattery exists because of Sam and Beans. We built this so no one else has to go through what we did.

The pedigreed cat world has a scam problem. Fake breeders steal deposits, post stolen photos, and impersonate real catteries. Families lose thousands of dollars and never get the kitten they were promised. Legitimate breeders lose their reputation to impersonators they don't even know about.
We verify every breeder against TICA and CFA registries directly. We maintain a community-driven scam database. And we give buyers and breeders a place where trust is the default, not the exception.
Three pillars that keep the GoodCattery community safe and trustworthy.
Every breeder is verified by contacting TICA and CFA registries directly before being listed. No exceptions, no shortcuts.
Breeders who choose to accept deposits through GoodCattery get Stripe-powered payments with built-in buyer protection. Breeders can also handle payments on their own terms.
Our community-driven scam database helps buyers identify fraudulent sellers and protects the entire cat breeder community.
Whether you're looking for a kitten, raising them, or rescuing them — there's a place for you here.
Every breeder is verified against TICA & CFA. Browse by breed and location, apply directly, and check the scam database before you send anyone money.
